State of Emergency = No Rights for you

A state of emergency was declared in King, N.C. due to inclement weather resulting in a curfew, alcohol restriction and a ban on the sale or purchase of any type of firearm, ammunition, explosive or any possession of such items off a person’s own premises.
I guess the authorities in N.C. didn’t get the memo that restricting firearms in this way was illegal or perhaps they conveniently forgot. Seems the only people that actually have to follow the law are the ones who live under it rather than those that enforce them. Section of the law passed to prevent such things quoted below.

… ‘‘(3) prohibit possession of any firearm, or promulgate any rule, regulation, or order prohibiting possession of any firearm, in any place or by any person where such possession is not otherwise prohibited by Federal, State, or local law; or …
